Our Team at Mink Potential

Director: Monica Kade

Monica Kade is a multi-tasker. She is the publisher of Mink Magazine and is half way through her Bachelor of Human Resource Management at Macquarie University. Monica is also an actor, having recently completed her first feature film which will be played in 200 independent cinemas across Australia. Monica is looking forward to her roles in future projects.

Tired of reading the constant celebrity rumors in gossip magazines, Monica decided to create a magazine that was fresh, exciting and one that showcased and supported up and coming talent. Monica has a passion for providing people with a platform to express their creativity and unique nature, and because of this passion, Mink Potential, and Mink Magazine, were born.

Monica's aim is to not only satisfy the hunger for individuality (for herself and others), but assist others in opening up avenues for their lives and careers. Mink is mecca for emerging artists.

Monica's favourite treat is a HUGE, mug of peppermint tea or black coffee (depending on the stress level and a mango!

Eden lives in Enmore with her fabulous housemates, and will one day finish the two-metre high canvass painting tucked behind her wardrobe.

Writer: Tracey Lien

Tracey Lien lives in a sub-terrainian curvature (read: hole). When she was sixteen, she launched a bi-monthly underground newsletter titled "The Cheese", which aimed to educate her peers about American politics. Unfortunately, no one from her school cared about politics, let alone that of the American kind. After two issues, it flopped. She is now at university and will be stuck there for the next five years. The highlight of her life was entering the Archibald Prize when she was fifteen... oh, and being in the studio audience of The Chaser's War on Everything. She once shook Bob Carr's hand.

International Music Writer: Sasha Reid

I live in London, England and have spent the past few years in the music industry working with signed and unsigned bands/artists. I brought the band Kasabian down from Leicester to London and worked with them until they got a record deal. I write cd reviews for a UK magazine. This year I spent six weeks in America (including a trip to SXSW in Austin, Texas) so I got a good chance to see the new up and coming bands. I am also writing a children’s storybook, which I hope to get published.
